NOTD: Mia + Flat Top

I’ve been mattifying everything lately. Usually in fall and winter I wear a lot of dark colors, but when I lay the Deborah Lippman matte top coat over my more pastel colors, it gives them a muted feel that I’m really into at the moment.

This particular match-up is almost a nude manicure because the matte takes a lot of the extra pink out of Mia.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and that the start to the holiday season hasn’t been too stressful. I did some Cyber Monday shopping (not for myself womp womp) but I hid inside on Black Friday.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve tried to take photos inside and they just aren’t cuttin’ it. Even this one I only used because it’s glammed up a bit with cutout shapes and all. Looks like I’ll be busy photographing on the weekends. That’s okay though. Busy can be good (as long as there’s allotted time to sit in bed and watch X-Files on Netflix)!

I like the new work look.

I want to try this. Does it work over any nailpolish?

    • Yeah! It looks different over different polishes. I like it best over lighter cream colors, but I also live it for a matte black mani. Glitter is a toss up. I’ve seen some cool looks with matte over glitter polishes, but I’ve seen a lot of misses too. Essie makes a matte top coat called Matte About You that’s cheaper and I think it works just as well as the Lippmann.
