Bandit Queen: A Confession

ImageI can’t tell you how frustrating it was to get this picture, and the bottom still came out blurry. Oh well. Instead, I’m going to focus on how much I love my sweet Zoya polish in Lara, my favorite foray into this summer neon fad.

For the purpose of full disclosure, I have a confession to make. I broke my beauty ban, but only to buy two things I was in DIRE need of, and now the ban is reinstated. These are the products I broke down and bought: bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch Up Veil in Translucent and the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Smoothing Stick in Fair.

My e.l.f. concealer wasn’t cutting it, so I got this creamier, lighter concealer stick from Neutrogena. So far it’s a definite upgrade. I think I’ve mentioned before how I was struggling to keep my makeup set in this Texas heat, and I wanted to find a way around buying a new powder, but this works so well that I couldn’t resist. I’m no good with loose powder so this compact is a god send. I loves it. No more greasy t-zone for this girl, only soft, polished looking skin.

Here’s to hoping my face won’t melt off at work for the rest of summer.

  4. […] bareMinerals READY Touch Up Veil Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Translucent // For the most part, my skin is very dry, but my t-zone can get a little oily at the end of the day. This finishing powder is the best for touching-up, mattifying lipstick AND setting makeup. It doesn’t leave my skin powdery or strange looking. […]
