How to Not Melt

Keyhole Back Shirt – Aerie // Shorts – American Eagle // Floral Sunglasses – Ross //Nail Polish – Chanel Peridot

I can’t tell you how crazy it is that it’s only the beginning of June and it’s already 95 degrees during the day here in Texas. Augugh. This is the beginning of my summer phase when I try to dress up short shorts and thin t-shirts without melting. Messy bun is going to become my default updo and long frizzy curls will be my go-to going out hair.I also embraced my need for a pair of floral sunglasses.

It’s getting really tempting to buy the Bare Minerals Pressed Mineral Veil Compact to keep my make-up in place. This hot weather does nothing to help my reactive, rosacea skin, especially when it melts off the bb cream I wear to even out my red blotches. Are there any home remedies to help make-up stay?

Sidenote: This shirt is part of a massive Aerie haul I got over the Memorial Day weekend because they had an amazing sale that I couldn’t resist. Everything else is underthings, including a bunch of their super soft lace tangas and another long-line lace bra, but I have one of their tissue tees, and this one looked more purple on their website. I don’t mind that it’s a bit more brown though, cause everything seems to match with denim shorts, and that’s what I think I’ll be wearing a lot of for the next three months.
