I’m back! Galveston isn’t exactly the Bahamas but it’s all about the company and what you make of it. I got to spend a couple of days with my family, drinking delicious adult beverages, reading on the beach, and playing Harvest Moon while looking out at the sea fog. That is my ideal vacation.
I did a poor picture of taking pictures, but most of my outfits were just tissue tees, shorts, and my favorite new floppy hat. I bought it at a gas station on the way down to Galveston, and not usually being one for hats I was surprised by how much I fell in love with this thing. I like it a lot better than the sunburn I came back with on my leg.
This was my reading and drinking material for the weekend. The grocery store didn’t have Woodchuck Amber which is my favorite, but the Spring edition has an interesting taste. It has a very apparent maple and brown sugar flavor along with the apple, which makes for a nice dessert cider, but it probably won’t be a repeat beach drink.
The house I lived in the first three years of my life was about a mile away from Jacksonville beach, so even though I might not look the part of a brown beach baby, I have a very deep fondness for the ocean. The sea fog that came in the first afternoon we arrived was really thick and kind of ominous, but I have a soft spot for things that are creepy in a way you can’t place. This was my favorite shot of the water, but there were times when the fog came right up to our beachfront porch.
Keep an eye out for some more posts this week! I got my March Birchbox and a few new clothing items from the past month that I need to show off to the internet world. See you then!
