Butter London: Black Knight

I know this is from their holiday collection and I had some trouble tracking it down so long after they released it, but I found it, and it looks like space.

I couldn’t decide on a favorite shot of it, so prepare for an onslaught of Black Knight.

Yes that's a sailor make-up hand pose. Seemed appropriate.

I tried so hard to capture the color in the bottle and on my nails, hence all the photos. I bought another one from Butter London called Rosie Lee, but I’m gonna get a good wear out of this one first before I test the other.

I hope everyone’s having a good Friday!

Black & Cream

Dress РTarget // Ram Ring РEtsy  // Bow Belt РXmas Gift // Barely Visible Shoes РPayless // Lipstick РChanel Mademoiselle

I like to pretend I’m artsy farsty in photo shop but I failed at making a double exposure and got tired.¬† So now you get a daily double of Taylor.

The dress fits nice and snug, and it’s the easiest thing to put on when I want to look done up without doing much else. I can throw on some gold jewelry, reach for my handy Mademoiselle lippy and call it a day. Here’s a close up of the ram ring. It’s one of my favorites.

I can’t tell you how many times people have asked me if I’m a Taurus when I wear this ring. Get your astrological signs together people!

Cheapies! Revlon Swatches

Revlon Colorburst in Peach & Icy Nude

Earlier this week Becca and I went to Big Lots I and discovered the beauty of heavily discounted cosmetics. These lipsticks were $2 each, and I’m kicking myself because as you’ll see, I picked up some very safe shades. They had a deeper, cherry red that I think would’ve matched my skin tone pretty good, but no use sulking now.

Revlon Colorburst Icy Nude

This one is so close to my natural lip color that there’s almost no point. It has a little bit of shimmer to it that I don’t like. It makes my lips look grainy. I’ll try it again when my lips recover from their wintery chapped-ness.

Revlon Colorburst Peach

Peach turned out much better. It gives a natural flush of color but still had a little shimmer that I wasn’t crazy about. This one at least made it into my make-up bag to take to work. Neither shade lasts very long either. Overall, I think I got what I paid for, but I still am excited about future trips to Big Lots so I can test new colors for cheap.

Outfit Post

Shirt – Forever 21 // Skirt – American Apparel // Necklace – Gift

I don’t shop at Forever 21 as much anymore, but I love this top! I wear it all the time, and it’s so soft and comfortable. It was about 85 degrees today so I whipped out a skirt sans panty hose for the first time in awhile. I had a great day shopping with Miss Becca and I discovered the wonder of Big Lots! cosmetic discounts. I got 2 Revlon Colorburst lipsticks, a pretty taupe eyeshadow quad from Revlon, and a plum e.l.f. lip gloss for $9 total! I’ll probably try to swatch them tomorrow since I’m off of work. I also bought some nail head studs to do collar embellishments like the one in this post. All in all a very productive day with my best fwend.

Skull or Stud?

I tried to do a flattering shot from the lips down but I failed. Ignore my wonky mouth and enjoy another shot of my MAC Runaway Red.

…Then bring your attention to the new love of my life, this tiny skull necklace from H&M. I got the necklace and two matching earrings for all of like 6 or 7 dollars. I originally saw them on an article by Hannah on, and when I saw them on my last shopping date with Becca, I took the plunge. No regrets.

From far away, it just looks like a little jeweled stud, very classy and simple. Then you zoom in and you see why I needed it in my life.

I love love love it. That’s really all I have to say about the matter. It’s just so small and most of the time I’m the only one who knows that it’s actually a scary little skull face.
